As parents, teachers, and school boards understand the importance of supporting young athletes, it is essential to make sure girls are receiving the same opportunities as their male peers. Softball is a growing sport among female youth—allowing them to not only stay active but also develop strength in team-building, strategy-planning and problem-solving skills that can serve as invaluable tools for success later in life. However, too often, girls lack the guidance and backing necessary for these sports to thrive —especially when compared to boys’ sports teams. Here we will discuss how providing effective support can encourage more girls than ever before to take part in softball activities while fostering greater self-confidence outside of athletics.
